High income threshold and compensation cap due to rise

Both the high income threshold and the compensation cap for unfair dismissals claims are set to rise next week.

The high-income threshold for unfair dismissal applications rise from $148,700 to $153,600.

Maximum compensation increases from $74,350 to $76,800 post- July.

Filing fees for unfair dismissal, general protections and anti-bullying applications will also increase from $73.20 to $74.50.
