Woolies underpayment of employees

Woolworths Group which underpaid its almost 6000 salaried employees by over $315M, which was covered by the general retail award, has now found they are having to face paying a further $75M to employees in its hotels and liquor division.

Woolworths hopes to repay any shortfalls to retail workers in either the first or second halves of the 2019-20 financial year.

Woolworths has assured its employees that it is moving as swiftly as possible to recompense all workers across all its businesses.
