Workplace Manslaughter Bill

The workplace manslaughter bill has now been passed, from July employers can now be charged with workplace manslaughter and jailed.

Read our last article detailing the Manslaughter Bill and what it will mean for employers who do not act in accordance with the Victorian Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Not only is it an employer’s responsibility to keep workers safe, but to ensure that Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Procedures are well documented and kept up to date.  Employees must be made aware of their responsibilities when it comes to WHS Policy and Procedure.
